Whenever I see a commercial on TV for a show or a trailer for a movie that's based on a book I feel compelled to yell loudly, "It's based on a book!" My latest proclamation of this was in response to Darkly Dreaming Dexter, which I would watch if I had Showtime. Sigh.

Dude. Showtime had the first episode online. It was grizzly, facinating & darkly hilarious. I don't have the channel, so we'll both have to wait for the DVDs, but honestly, I'm not sure if I could watch it in big chunks like that. I kinda like the week-long decompression you'd get watching it live.
Ooh, I'll have to check it out online.
